MASK stands for MedicalAssist Skills Klinic, a hands-on training seminar designed specifically for Medical Assistants and healthcare participants who need practical experience in core clinical skills like vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, and EKGs.

💉 What skills are taught in the seminar?

We focus on essential clinical competencies:

Vital Signs (manual & electronic)

Injections (IM, SubQ, ID)

Phlebotomy (Venipuncture)

Electrocardiograms (EKG)

Each participant receives guided instruction and supervised hands-on practice.

⏱️ How long is the seminar?

Each seminar runs for two full days (8 hours per day). Weekend and weekday options are available depending on your location.

MASK offers both:

In-town training at our primary location

Travel seminars hosted in major Texas cities such as Dallas, San Antonio, and other surrounding areas

💰 What does it cost?

Our standard 2-day full skills package is $500 per participant

Individual skill packages (e.g., injections only, phlebotomy only) are also available starting at $250 for 4 hours

📚 Do I need prior medical experience to attend?

While our training is geared toward those who have completed a Medical Assistant program, we also welcome nursing students or healthcare participants looking for foundational skill practice or refreshers.

📄 Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. All participants receive a Letter of Completion verifying their hands-on skills training.

🧰 Do I need to bring my own supplies?

No. All necessary supplies and equipment are provided for the training sessions. You only need to arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to learn.

👕 What should I wear to class?

Please wear professional medical attire to all sessions:

Scrub tops and pants (any color)

Closed-toe shoes (non-slip recommended)

Hair tied back if applicable

No long nails or large jewelry during skill work

Dressing appropriately ensures safety and allows you to train comfortably and professionally.

🏫 Is MASK a licensed school?

No. MASK is not a licensed proprietary school. We are a skills training program exempt from TWC (Texas Workforce Commission) regulation, designed to help currently enrolled or certified healthcare students strengthen their clinical skills.
